Launched in 2006 Digital & Satellite Services Limited is made up from a group of service companies formulated to address all the needs of consumers and small businesses in the lead up to, during and post Digital Switchover.

Digital television is nothing complicated; in simple words it is the method of receiving and broadcasting moving pictures digitally. A digital set-top box and satellite dish will be required for this system to work. Many broadcasters worldwide have already switched to this digital system and ‘turned off’ its old analogue cousin.

Our mission is to ensure our customers are “Digital Ready” and are receiving all the benefits of digital TV that the new digital era has to offer households throughout the UK. Digital TV via digital satellites will provide the future for home entertainment systems.

Our aim is to provide cost effective solutions through quality products and services which are executed in a seamless and efficient manner causing minimal disruption to our customers.

Throughout the entire group we offer high quality products covering all aspects of home entertainment systems. Our innovative retail offer provides a complete range of products at significantly discounted prices. Backed by our own ‘RDI approved’ engineers we offer a full installation service including scanning and tuning for the digital channels and demonstration of the digital services. We’ll even take your old equipment away and arrange for its responsible disposal and recycling. Additionally we have created a number of products specifically designed to convert homes such as “Digital Home Health Check”.

Our engineers are all either qualified or have embarked on the RDI-LIB installers certificate. To achieve installer start-up engineers must be qualified NVQ2 (and above) in electrical and electronic servicing (signal pathway) and covered by appropriate insurance. Equally as important is the fact that all of our engineers will have had a full CRB check which is a pre-requisite for RDI approval.

All of our activities are underpinned by our technical and helpdesk staff based here in the UK. We pride ourselves on being able to fix 40% of all faults over the phone and our qualified engineers provide a second level of support. Additionally, we have “Head Engineers” per region providing top level support for both engineers and customers. Our helpdesk staff co-ordinate all activities ensuring that both the equipment and the engineers are with the customer for the agreed installation time.

Our innovative Personnel and Corporate Membership schemes provide access to the helpdesks fixed price priority service, loyalty scheme and “highly discounted” equipment via our on line shop.

For complete peace of mind we also offer insurance backed extended warranties and service agreements on application for total customer satisfaction.
